Meet The Founding Team
Yassine Taoudi-Benchekroun
Yassine is a researcher in computational neuroscience at King's College London who loves to share his work with family and friends. He often thinks very (too) deeply about the philosophical implications of human knowledge. He spends a lot of time talking to researchers and tries to understand their needs and frustrations - he then goes home to work hard on translating these conversations into an automatic summarization algorithm tailored to solving their problems.
Saad Moussadek
Saad is a computer scientist and financial engineer. He has an obsession with design, user-experience and efficiency. He hated navigating through academic papers during his undergraduate, so he is trying to build a better tool for that. Being a Reddit and video games addict, he has strong opinions on how to optimize for quality discussion, engaging content, and user-friendly experience - he translates these into designing Abstra's platform.
The story behind Abstra
Lifelong friends
Close friends since primary school in Morocco, students together in the UK. Always debating and almost never agreeing - except when it came to Abstra.
Lovers of science
Saad is passionate about physics and economics. Yassine is passionate about machine learning and neuroscience. They both are involved in research in their fields of interest.
Eternal perfectionists
Both Yassine and Saad are usually never happy about what is given to them, so they always imagine how they could make things better. With Abstra, they're making it happen.
